Beautiful feet in 3 steps

Badly treated during the summer with sand, salt and open shoes, the feet must be pampered!

Thanks to them, we can walk, dance, jump, move forward, backward... live! With 26 bones, 20 muscles, 16 joints and 107 ligaments, nothing is left to chance to support us on a daily basis. And at the end of the summer, calluses appear to a greater or lesser extent. Indeed, under the effect of pressure, cells form in greater number, dead skin accumulates on the heels or toes; if we do not intervene, it can quickly become painful. In summer, our feet are exposed and more exposed to aggression: micro-trauma, salt, sand, etc.

We take advantage of the start of the new school year to give them a little makeover: in three stages, they will be supple, soft and free of their imperfections. And to play the good student at the beginning of the year, we get into the habit of moisturising our feet every day. Follow the guide!

Step 1: Scrub at home

Exfoliation is an essential part of foot care and will soften and smooth the skin by removing dead cells and slight surface roughness. Before exfoliating, you can take a footbath in water of 37°C maximum, which will soften the skin and relax the muscles. After 10 minutes, it's time to exfoliate: for this, Gommage Facile, Guinot's exfoliating body care with Loofa Fibres is perfect. Apply a small amount and gently massage in circular motions, concentrating on the driest areas. Rinse and dry your feet thoroughly to avoid leaving any moisture.

Step 2: Get a new skin at the Institute

If the exfoliation is not enough and the horniness persists, you can remove the calluses at home, using a pumice stone. But be careful, the gesture must be very gentle and on the surface because when the skin feels attacked, it reacts twice as strongly. The best thing to do is to regularly treat yourself to the Foot Peeling treatment at the Guinot Institute when the calluses are too large and in order to avoid any cracks or fissures. Half an hour to get a new skin! After applying a specific gel that softens the skin and removes dead cells, your beautician removes imperfections with a professional spatula. Then comes the application of a nourishing and moisturising treatment perfect for the skin. The result: baby feet that are supple and moisturised without any roughness!

Step 3: Moisturise and nourish at home

The last essential step in foot care is moisturising. To keep your feet healthy, the skin must be nourished and moisturised. Opt for the Long Life Foot Cream and its ultra complete formula. With its Cellular Life Environment Complex with 56 active ingredients, it boosts and relaunches cell regeneration. Sweet Almond Oil will nourish and soften while Liposkin restores the skin's often damaged barrier. Finally, Allantoin soothes and Microcidin purifies and deodorises. The right gesture? Every evening, massage the cream into the foot, it is relaxing and the skin remains soft and supple for a long time!
